LEX 18 News: Glenn Nissan Donates Cargo Van to Salvation Army – Lexington, KY

Sometimes we have to take a step back to put things in perspective and realize all the little things that are often taken for granted. The tough decisions we often see on a daily basis are those like, say, Nissan Altima versus Nissan Maxima. And the sacrifices we typically see are as insignificant as choosing to forgo a touchscreen navigation system for premium leather seating.

But what about those who are less fortunate? Those who may have had to decide between gloves and a hat during harsh winter conditions, as they could only afford one. Those who sacrifice their meals so that their children may eat. Those who truly deserve to have the simple things, like clothing and food, they see as often unattainable luxuries.

We’ve teamed up with the Salvation Army once again to make a difference and, hopefully, positively impact the lives of those folks right here in our community who need help. The Nissan cargo van we’ve donated will help the kind-hearted people of the Salvation Army deliver food, clothing and other basic necessities to more than 50,000 people in need around greater Lexington.

“There’s a philosophy out there that if you help everyone else get what they want, eventually that will come back around. So, we try to live by that philosophy here at Glenn Auto Mall that if we help enough people, eventually they’ll help us.”
